We are thrilled to invite you to the Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores / Cooper-Standard Charity Golf Benefit. For the past four years we have both held separate tournaments raising funds for Mitch Albom’s S.A.Y. Detroit Foundation. This year, Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores has teamed up with automotive supplier Cooper-Standard to create an outstanding tournament for all parties. We believe that by pooling the efforts of these two community minded companies, we will better serve the organizations that are near and dear to us.

Our event this year will benefit: S.A.Y. Detroit, The Tiger Woods Foundation and the Wayne State University College of Nursing. Together Cooper-Standard and Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores have raised over $400,000 thanks to your generous contributions benefiting S.A.Y. Detroit. The tournament will be held Monday, August 24, 2009 at the prestigious Detroit Golf Club located at 17911 Hamilton Road in Detroit, Michigan.

Also, this year as a special feature, the golf event has been coupled with the Wayne State University College of Nursing’s Lifeline Dinner the night before on August 23 as Mitch Albom and Jim McElya will be honored for their work in opening the S.A.Y Clinic for children of Detroit’s homeless.
